Brisbane lovely capital city

If you are planning for a visit to Australia, take extra days to visit to Brisbane, the most populous city in Australia.  Brisbane’s   metropolitan area has a population of 2.3 millions. You may have visited many places around the world but the facilities what you get here is unpredictable.  

Flight departs at a regular interval from London Heathrow, London Gatwick and other UK airport to Brisbane. Brisbane is 10269 miles from London and the average flight time is 22 hr 20 Min.  The average   temperature in summer is 25 degree Celsius. Brisbane has a wide range of transport options. Tourist can take a taxi from taxi corner situated at level 2. Anyone looking to avoid traffic can catch the Air train, directly outside the airport terminal. Train departs every 15 minutes during rush hour and the journey takes 20 minutes to reach Brisbane central business district.

City
Brisbane is  over 30  km  of bicycle pathways,  mostly  surrounding  the Brisbane  river and city centre .This  river is a  popular  tourist place for fishing and bathing . Some of   the popular recreation activities include the rock climbing at the Kangaroo point cliffs.

Sports
If you are the sport loving person, you will be thrilled by the no of sport activities taking place. Going back to the history of Brisbane, it has hosted Commonwealth Games in 1982 and Good will Games in 2001. The city hosted Rugby world cup in 1987, Cricket world cup in 1992, Sydney Olympics in 2000 and in 2003 Rugby league world cup. The city’s major sport venue is The Gabba Sleeman Centre at Chandler, Suncorp stadium and Ballymore stadium.

Transport
Brisbane has one of the best transport facilities in Australia. Most of person prefer private car for traveling purpose. Public transport is provided by the bus, rail and ferry services. Bus services are operated by public and private operator where else rail and ferry are operated by Government   agencies. The Brisbane  central  business district  is  a central hub for all the transports focusing  on  Queen  Street bus station,  Roma  Street and  central  railway  station   and various  ferry centers. 

Festival
Major festival events in Brisbane includes the Ekka ( the royal  Queensland Exhibition)  held in  August each year and River festival, held each  year in month  of September at South Bark Parklands. Some of other festival is Waran (meaning   blue skies) held in September, The Paniyiri festival at Musgrave, the Caxton street Seafood and wine festival.
